365 days of images - - Day 7- Jan. 6, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Day of Political Strife

This morning started off as a nice day.  Noelle and I had made plans to watch the Electoral vote be verified.  What we thought might be an educational day about democracy, ended up being a startling day.  People who where supporting Trump rioted and broke into the Capital building.  It shook me from the inside out.  I'm terrified, sad and frankly pissed to see this happening.  I can't condone this on any level.  I continue to watch with interest and fear.  It made it hard to concentrate to put my blog together.  I figure if they can pull it together in Washington DC, I can pull it together to put my images on. 

This is my first week finished, in my goal of 365 days of images. Yahoo!  Today I watched the sunrise near Lovers Point and then moved to Asilomar State Beach.  I walked the beach and then I headed on the coastal boardwalk into the Spanish Bay golf course and beach.  It was a quiet sunrise, muted oranges and partially cloudy.

Hummingbirds seem to be a part of my mornings right now.  I find that positive and joyful.

I would say the most interesting thing that I saw today, was 1000's of what looked like human fingers all over the beach.  I have looked it up and learned they are Pyrosomes.  I learned that they are a colony of individual organisms.  They are brought in by the tides and waves.

There were whimbrels with their long beaks, sand pipers running in the waves and always seagulls.

And of course the dogs....

I then jumped up on the boardwalk and headed toward Spanish Bay.
