Beach Day!

A wedding bouquet on the beach and pink skies on my mom's birthday.  Mom celebrated 97 years today.  We all missed my dad today, he would always make mom's birthday special.

She is moving to Denver at the end of this month to live with my sister.  I hope to visit very soon, waiting for them to get settled in.

Happy Birthday Mom, I will see you very soon.

For Phil

Mom told me to tell you that she loved you.  I know you knew, she welcomed you into her kitchen, a special privlege.   Not to mention as you went through chemo and radiation, she sent you a card everyday.  Heavenly hugs!

We all miss you Phil.

 

365 days of images - - Day 295- Oct. 24, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Blustery Monterey Peninsula

It was very blustery today.  Hard to even hold my hand still while I was taking images due to the wind  blowing so hard.  I drove, stopped at different locations around the Monterey Peninsula and took short walks.  

As I was walking, I noticed a snail on the path.

For Phil

This morning I saw a couple on a hotel balcony in white robes.  It triggered a memory of when we were moving back to California from Arkansas.  We drove a truck with our belongings across the country, stopping and taking in sights.  When we got to California, our house that we were moving into wasn't quite ready yet.  We found a room in San Simeon, it would take Judy (our dog),  had an ocean view, big bathtub and a fireplace.  We stayed 2 nights, hung out in our white robes and you kept the fireplace going the whole time.  On the fireplace you heated our food, we sipped on wine, we only left the room to walk Judy on the beach.  You left me with some very sweet memories!

I started the day at Cannery Row, it is quiet early in the morning.  

Then some beach time at Sand City Beach.  Took in the waves, breathed the air and enjoyed the moment.
