365 days of images - - Day 364- Jan 01, 2022 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- For Love!

Tomorrow morning is my last of 365 days of images.  A tribute to my husband Phil, a healing journey for me.  Not to mention I walked almost 1500 miles, took 1000's of images and spent every morning in nature.  I've walked through sea spray, rain, wind and fog.  My mornings have been spent with wildlife, under beautiful skies in my beloved Monterey Peninsula.  I have walked through 4 pair of shoes and have taken a few spills.  I feel like my image taking has improved, I have felt connected to Phil and it has given my motivation and a purpose to get up when sadness wanted me to stay down.  I have worked approx 6 hours a day on this project, between walking, going through photographs and preparing the blog.  It kept me busy.  I'm sad to let it go, because I feel like I'm saying bye to Phil again.....I'm happy because I'm ready to have time to work on some new projects.   I'm looking forward to the new year, I'm hoping it gets better for all of us.
.  Here's to new experiences and to love.  Phil has always been an inspiration to me.  I feel like a part of me has left with him, I'm still working on putting me back together again.  I believe this year has certainly helped me in the processes of the healing that I need.
After I finish tomorrow I'm going to rest for a couple of days.....

To Phil
You filled my life with passion, love and fun.
You know that I will carry you in my heart for the rest of my life.
I will always love and miss you.

365 days of images - - Day 358- Dec 26, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Therapeutic Trails

Today I walked the route that Phil and I often walked as he went through treatments for cancer.  Sometimes he was so weak that he had to sit down often as we made our way down the path.  As I pass each of those spots I can feel the emotions that we went through.  Phil was amazing as he went through treatments, he will always be my hero.  He called the coastal trail the therapeutic trail, he could recognize pain and illness in people we passed.  He spoke to them, made friends and was inspired by others he met.  I'm heartbroken by his loss, he was a part of me and I feel like that part is missing.  I walk to heal, to keep connected to him and to find myself.  I suspect that I will keep doing so as long as I'm able.

I stand by the tree in the image below often, it holds many memories.  It was a point in our walks that Phil felt as if he accomplished something, a point to walk to.  We called it Stumpy McStumpyville.  He would smile knowing I put a photo of it here, he would appreciate that I feel it, all of it, everything we went through, in that spot.  It stands for courage to me.  All the courage that Phil carried in his heart, I continue to try to carry with me.

For Phil
Cancer took things and people away.  I still have some hang ups of the memories of the absolute sadness that we went through.  We lost everything!  and yet....We gained a new perspective of life, a renewed love of each other and made new friends.  With tenacity and creativity we learned how to survive through what seemed like a tsunami hitting us.  We clung to each other, shared our feelings, fears and love.  I look to your courage, your love and I move forward with that example.  I love and miss you.

Philly, a blue marble with a message!

For Phil
Carmel with you, was romance, fun, walks on the beach, birthdays at Mission Ranch, a little trouble at Brophy's Tavern, and lot's of fun at Hog's Breath.  Not to mention sitting next to Clint Eastwood, Kurt Russell and everyone saying, "it's fucking Kenny G" as he walked through Mission Ranch.  Breakfast at Em Le's, French Onion soup at Forge in the Forest and caramel apple martini's at Jack London's.  I'm smiling thinking about it.  I love and miss you forever!
