Arthur Brannen
Feb. 05, 1929 - Sept 11, 2021

My father passed away this morning, he was surrounded by family and love.  He was an amazing man, retired Air Force, coached Little League baseball, led boy scouts, called bingo at the church, participated in politics, taught catechism, Air Force Association, Knights of Colombus.....participated in anything he could.
He had a difficult childhood, growing up in the foster care system and spent a large part of it on the streets.  He joined the military when he was 17 and worked hard for everything he achieved.
Married to my mother for 65 years, he loved her dearly.  My heart breaks for her.  She is almost 97 and this will be a huge life change.
We grew up celebrating his Irish heritage.  He loved his country and he was always willing to help his neighbor.  He knew everyone and he was a big personality.  Boston Red Socks, Bruins and Notre Dame, lover.
With a beautiful Bostonian accent.  We all loved it and teased him endlessly.
He was strict, could be difficult but he loved fiercely.
He was always there when I needed him....always.
Rest in peace dad, I love and will miss you.

My love to my sister, brother and family for the care they showed dad as his life ended.  They all stepped in and made sure he knew he was loved as he transitioned.

I took my walk this morning, I spent a large part of it just staring at the ocean, thinking of dad and had little motivation to take photos.  I snapped a few random images, I'm determined to carry out my 365 days of images.

For  Philly
Oh my gosh I miss you.
I know you understood my love, feelings and emotions surrounding my dad.
I sure hope that you, dad and Darin are together having a laugh.
Damn I miss those hugs, I could hear your words and it helped.

365 days of images - - Day 94- April 3, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Black tailed deer visit the Tidal Pools

My spirits have been better the last couple of days, not that I'm not missing Phil, but I feel there is an acceptance that has crept in that is necessary and unavoidable.  The grief ebbs and flows mixed with anger, sadness, gratitude and with time seems to be mellowing.  Reality sucks, but it is what it is. as Phil said. I treasure each memory and there are many.  He was the best!  I am a very lucky woman to be loved by such a beautiful soul.  A very lucky woman indeed!
Morning walks continue to be the motivation and what I get up for.  This morning was a little overcast but a very temperate temperature.  I decided to check out the tidal pools again and what I found was a surprise!  I entertained myself watching black tail deer in the pools.
My walks by the ocean are healing me, I feel it.  The sound of the waves, the smell of the ocean, the gorgeous blue colors and I've heard that there are positive ions that contribute too!  Whatever it is, my walks just make me feel better.  365 days of images is a lot of work but the pay off is healing, learning more about my camera and giving me a purpose.

Red-winged blackbird.

Coot.

Hearts show up all over the place.  Is it just because I need to see it? or is it messages?  I hope it is messages.

It is Grace's 15th birthday, I have been dog sitting for her family for almost 5 years.  She is gentle, loving and just wants to be a good girl.
Happy Birthday Grace.

For Phil
I love and miss you.
You were the best.

For Phil:
You remain the light of my life.
My muse.
My best friend.
My husband.
My soul mate.
I miss you.
I'm taking images like a maniac!
I know you would know what this all means to me.

Miss our relationship, miss our love and miss our fun.
Your smile, your laugh, your wit, your smarts and your hugs.
I can feel you but I still miss you.
