Morning color to start the day. I jogged the first half of the walk so that I could catch the sunrise from different places. Looking for hope in the new day. To the harbor!!!!
Sending love to my mom.

One month until our anniversary. It would be 24 years together and 16 years ago that we married. We usually went on an adventure to celebrate. The photo below is one from a camping trip to Cloverdale, California. I always was a day ahead for the anniversary, one year we were working so hard, we missed it and celebrated late but they were always full of love and romance. Every time I smell coffee I think of you. I hung your mug on the kitchen wall.
It was clear outside when I got up. The moon was beautiful, the sunrise had color for a minute and then the marine layer blew in.
At the end of the jetty, the sea lions often jump out of the water. Just out of reach of my lens, I'm always trying to catch the activity. This morning I caught one jumping out of the water.

This morning I thought of the day we married. We had been together for 8 years already when we wed. Casual, with our friends, Tom and Cathy, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, it still makes me smile. Cathy made the most splendid layered frozen wine slushies. We dressed up in vintage clothes, had our "I do, I do" vows and I wouldn't take my jeans off under my dress. Dirty Diana by Michael Jackson was playing as we walked in. As we left we helped a man who had just had his picture made in a wedding dress, pick out the best image. His wig was something we would marvel about for years after, it was beautiful. Dinner at Autumn Breeze and a little wedding cake that we ate again on our first anniversary.
