The sun!  This morning I saw light from my window, threw my clothes on and was out the door.  The marine layer has been hanging tight lately, and the sun peeked through the fog.  Off to the jetty, hoping to see wildlife.  My eye is feeling better, everything is clearer today!

Zipping around trying to figure out different ways to look at the sun.  Entertaining myself in other words.  365 days of images has been a learning experience and the lesson continues.

This harbor seal had an impressive whisker.

Cuteness on the jetty isn't always wildlife.

Then to look at the tidal pools and happened to catch a really smooth surf ride.

When I am feeling like I want to be cheered up, I walk to the jetty.  This morning I got to the jetty only to realize I had to go back home because my battery ran out of power in my camera. Then I filled up my memory card because I forgot to take off images from yesterday.  In other words I was distracted and absent minded.  I've been trying to flow through time right now.  Does out to lunch mean anything to you?  It has been a lifestyle for me - sometimes it is nice just not to think.  

The weather was gray and the wildlife busy.

Smiling, barking sea lions.

Cormorants were cranky and nesting.

Seagulls are just starting to make nests on the jetty.

Then there was a sea otter who was busy with its bath and didn't notice me at all.  I was on a boat ramp and it let me take images for about 20 minutes.  He spun, cleaned and posed for pictures.  It made my day.  I felt blessed to be able to spend the time with him.  Big, healthy and was keeping his thick coat looking good.

Don't worry I'm trying to be careful.   I can still hear you telling me to watch my step, pay attention for bikes and don't turn my back on the ocean.
