I walked the beach and then sat by the lagoon and just enjoyed the nature around me.  Sometime you just need a quiet moment alone.
Carmel River Beach and Lagoon was the destination and the perfect location for solitude.

A memorial was up by the sea.....

While receiving video of my dad's funeral services today - [Thank you very much Lori, that was very kind and appreciated] - I was filming a feather.....One feather evidently was not enough.

For Phil

Miss you!

365 days of images - - Day 136 - May 15, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Time for Travel

Morning brought mist and it inspired me to look for clearer skies.  I headed to Elkhorn Slough and when I got there it was still wet but I could see clearing ahead.
I have been feeling a shift, it brings conflicting feelings.
On my walk, I listened to birds sing, admired the beauty of the slough and yet my mind would not quit.  I can tell the time has come for me to move forward.  All the dreams that Phil and I had keep dancing in my head, travel, camping and hitting the open road.  He was the best travel companion and it tears me up to think about doing it alone.  But I can feel the urge in me to travel.  I've been contemplating how to go about it all, I have a desire for a new vehicle, something I could camp in.  The dream has always been the ultimate road trip and time just keeps ticking by.  What we went through with Phil's journey has taught me that each moment is precious and fleeting.  I'm going to start with some day trips, working up to a couple of days, hopefully visiting some friends and then making my way to visit family.  I have to start somewhere....it is time to start my new chapter, living the dream and holding Phil right next to me in my heart.
I hope that I will be showing images from some adventures soon.  When I'm hiking and am in nature I'm happiest and at peace.  Time for exploration....

Right as I finished my walk, look what crossed my path.

To Phil
All those dreams we had, I will see them through.
I will carry all our memories, your love and spirit with me.
I loved how when I said, "let's go"
you said, Yes, where?
I love and miss you.

365 days of images - - Day 127 - May 6, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Elkhorn Slough Reserve

Elkhorn Slough Reserve was the destination this morning.  It is an estuarian tidal march.  The trails through the reserve are filled with oak woodlands, plants and animals.  I was there to see if I could see some of the birds that have been identified there.  When I arrived at the visitor center there was a list of wildlife that had been spotted recently.  A peaceful, inspiring walk reminded me that in nature is where I love to be.   I'm starting to dream of future trips.....
I'm excited.

To Phil
I miss you.
The memories you left with me continue to fill me with joy.
