Today's surprise was planted right behind the Monterey Historic Plaza Museum in the gardens.  A Voodoo Lily!  I have never seen one before.  Wow it was about a foot long and impressive.  The gardens are always incredibly beautiful.  Phil and I spent many hours there as he went through treatments.  The flowers seemed especially pretty today and I took time to just enjoy them.

Sea Stars everywhere I looked.

Pigeons are an everyday sight.

A comfy sea otter.

I don't know why I'm fascinated by this yacht but I have found myself staring at it and wondering what it looks like inside.

A blue and  night heron entertained me as I sat on a rock and took it all in.

A sea lion says hello to a harbor seal.

To Phil
I miss you, the last days of your life fill my heart, mind and soul.
I could feel the love, your eyes told me everything.

The link below will take you to my blog about this time last year.

365 days of images - - Day 171 - June 19, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Rock and Rod Festival - A Shared Passion

This morning started off gray.   I stopped at the jetty and admired the yacht again.

\Walked under a tree and a pretty sizable waste product fell from above.  When I looked there was an Osprey in the tree.

Pelicans.

This little one just wanted to pose.

When I got to the Custom House, they were setting up for the Rock and Rod Festival.  Phil and I attended this event almost every year that we have lived here.  He loved a car show, as he was going through treatments for cancer, cars was one of the ways I could get him up and going.  I really don't know a lot about cars but I love the beauty and art of them.  It made me feel close to Phil.  I enjoyed the walk and it put a smile on my face.  I got carried away taking images.
Color, excitement and gas fumes.....

My first car was a 69 Camaro and that happened to be Phil's favorite.  I stayed until one showed up.

For Phil
I miss all the fun we had.
I miss your smile.
I miss your hugs.
I know you see my images.....for you with all my love.
