Started the morning at Carmel River State Beach and lagoon.  Birds everywhere!  I watched a blue heron fishing to be joined by an egret.  Pelicans, terns and geese made a noisy, busy beach.  

I'm still avoiding crowds due to Covid, wearing my mask but still wanted to see cars.  I decided to stay on the fringes of the Concours on the Avenue to avoid the crowd.  I was early so I got to see some of the preparations and Carmel was decorated for the event.  There were cars everywhere, it wasn't hard to get an eyeful.  Being around the cars brought Phil closer and made me sad all at once. I sure love a pretty car!
