The sky was foggy with an added haze from the fires that are burning in Northern California. I started before the sun came up, although the sun never broke through before my walks were done. I ended up doing two separate walks with a breakfast stop in between. I started at the Coast Guard Jetty in Monterey. There is usually some kind of wildlife that I can see from there.
A pretty jelly.
Eeeeeeeerk!
Solitude.
A great egret stopped in to fish.
I'm glad to see the sea lions back at the jetty.
I headed toward Asilomar beach. There were surfers , big waves and birds.
The whale is still breaking down and now you can see the bones.
I got hit with a rogue wave this morning. I was at the surf line and a huge wave chased me in. I got wet up to my knees and got a nice jog. Still drying my shoes....
Then there was this cool beast.
To Phil
I miss you more everyday. The waves have been pounding me honey.
I'm trying to keep my head above water.
I'm determined and stubborn as ever, but I miss your kindness, love and hugs.
