I have been feeling that creativity has been on empty the last couple of days. Today I might have overdone it trying to find my inspiration. I got up and it was raining here, I looked at the sky and it looked clear toward Moss Landing. I was off and when I got there I was greeted with a very cold wind. I parked the car and started to walk around Moss Landing looking for images. Froze my patoot off but I had fun.
I spotted a sea otter with a very young pup that she was carrying in the mouth. She was speeding through the water. I ran alongside on land trying to catch her image.
She flipped the baby into her arms and swam off quickly.
I spent some of my walk in the harbor, I love to look around and watch the fisherman ready for the day.
Phil and I ate at Phil's Fish Market as much as we could.
Highly recommended.
Right behind Phil's the ocean was spectacular and I almost had the beach to myself, except a couple of fisherman.
I took some time in the restaurant / shopping area.
On my way back to the car, I spotted an egret on a boat. It looked grumpy.
I left Moss Landing after walking the entire area and I felt like I needed a little more. I decided to go check out Point Lobos. I got my walking in for the day! I ended up walking 7 miles and I found beauty and solace.
Harbor seals on the beach.
The color of the water was amazing.
A new baby harbor seal with an umbilical cord still showing.
Nesting Cormorants.
Pigeon guillemot with red feet.
Another sea otter and pup.
I climbed and climbed.
Wildflowers!!!
For Phil:
I miss you with all my heart.
I remembered the last time we were at Point Lobos with Chris, what a great day!
Phil took the photos below of Chris and I. 😀
