I'm starting to realize how much the weather affects my mood. Today was what we would call around here, beach weather. It was sunny, warm and just beautiful. I loved my walk, felt more inspired than yesterday and I had that urge to travel. I miss my travel companion. I'm trying to adjust to doing things that have been shared with Phil for 23 years, by myself. I know that I can do it! I'm going to start looking at vans, I still have the dream that I can just get in the van and head out for some road trips. Phil and I had our best times traveling in our van, I still have some traveling left in me.
This morning I headed toward Carmel. I love the sun coming up over the lagoon at the mouth of the Carmel River where it meets the sea.
I took advantage of the weather and hit the beach. I watched waves, dogs and just let the sun hit my skin.
I caught an otter diving....
She looked like she was with fawn.
Carmel is covered in beautiful gardens and flowers.
For Phil:
I miss you, today I wanted to just say to you, "let's go".
I miss that. I will do it! I will!
