This morning I got up bright and early and headed to Moss Landing. Moss Landing holds a marina, businesses and wildlife. I love to visit and I was determined to catch the sunrise there.
I started of on Jetty Rd, it sits on the slough and is a great place to bird watch. In the past I've seen many sea otters there, but this morning there weren't any that I could see.
As the sun peeked over the horizon, I crossed the dunes onto the beach.
Pink skies, surfers and waves! Yahoo!
Birds....birds and more birds.
I then headed over to Moss Landing and parked at one of Phil and my favorite restaurants there. Showered in sunlight.
I ended up walking around the whole area.
Yes indeed sea otters do cross the road sometimes.
I finally spotted one sea otter.
MBARI research ship the Rachel Carson.
When I got to Phil's Fish Market (another favorite) I turned, walked behind the buildings and walked on the beach. I spotted some sea lions bobbing in the waves.
Then back up to buildings again. Charm, art and eye appeal.
I checked out the slough area, I loved how the houses looked along the water.
Gratitude
It was a good day!
To Phil
It wasn't the same without you.
But the memories washed over me!
