365 days of images - - Day 209 - July 27, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Sunrise, Santa Cruz and Waddell Beach

When I woke I could see a peak of color coming through the blinds.  I threw my clothes on ran down to the ocean to catch the sunrise.  When I got there, I realized I had forgot my glasses, cracked myself up.  I still took a walk and photos.  Laughing at myself the whole time.  My family has always  thought it was funny because I was really good at drawing with my eyes closed. Ha, today it was taking images with no spectacles.   As long as I stayed away from detail I did ok.

Ran to Santa Cruz to get a couple more adjustments on car.  As I walked through the neighborhoods I noticed the gorgeous plants.  It was sunny, perfect weather and I loved my walk.

I ended up at the harbor and enjoyed a breakfast sandwich.

Then up Hwy 1 to Waddell Beach in Big Basin Redwood State Park, a favorite stop of ours.  Phil and I would often stop and watch the surfers.  I walked the beach and realized I was pooped after 3 big walks today!
I enjoyed the drive home, John Coltrane filled the air, I felt accomplished and I had fun!

To Phil
I saw Vic again today, I know how that would make you smile.
I traveled up the coast  to Waddell Beach, bittersweet.  Missing you on the drive, I still talked to you about all the memories that took over my mind.  I'm starting to get ready to camp by myself, Phil.  Don't worry I'll be careful, I can hear you reminding me about safety all the time!  I imagine that was part of being married to a firefighter.
I miss you!

Still trying to get used to making videos.
Thanks Noelle!

365 days of images - - Day 204 - July 22, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- 10 mile walk - Santa Cruz to Capitola - Time to Dream

365 days of images has been the challenge of a lifetime.  Tons of dedication, putting all my love for Phil into each image and all creativity that I can muster daily,  has been an amazing self challenge.  I walked 10 miles today while my car had the finishing touches on the maintenance that was needed.  I walked Santa Cruz to Capitola and back again, sandy beaches, lagoons and cute neighborhoods.  I have been astonishing myself with my determination and tenacity.  I wore myself out.  Seems that goals and self challenges are helping me move forward.

I'm readying my car for some short camping trips.  I'm going to do some introspective, nature loving travel up and down the coast.  I will be writing and taking photos about what I do in the blog.  I think what I need to do, is what I love, traveling - in a Covid friendly, self sufficient way.   I've been watching videos about how to car camp.  It should be interesting, fun and a quest of self awareness.  I'm not getting any younger, I've spent 5 years being a caregiver to Phil and now I'm going to allow myself to care for me.  Traveling alone will be different and yet I have a feeling, it will be an experience of a lifetime.   I have dreams of Tomales Bay, the Redwood Forest and Mendocino dancing in my head.

For Phil
Thank you for always telling me I was a badass.
I'm believing it!
I miss you, I know you would be proud of me.
I've walked 1000 miles so far this year, I've taken 1000's of images, put my love into them and today the blog got to 90,000 views, almost to the 100,000 you predicted.
Miss you with all my heart.
