365 days of images - - Day 186 - July 4, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Happy 4th from Monterey

Americana filled the air as I headed out on my walk this morning.  It was quiet but you could see the preparations being made for celebrations.  I'm still avoiding crowds, in fact I've been enjoying the quiet.  I believe the quiet helps with the healing. It feels like I'm rebuilding strength.

City Hall looked pretty, there was a pancake breakfast that was starting and a bubble machine!

Pretty clouds and lighting.  Yahoo!

I love meandering around historic Monterey and the hidden gardens that exist there.

I miss the private jokes that Phil and I shared.  We shared many.  Every time I see Gladiola's I think of him.  When he asked me what kind of flower?  I always answered Gladiola because he had made fun of me in the past over a mistaken identity.  I miss that look in his eye.

California's first theater.

Losing the down and getting beautiful blue feathers.
I love Scrub Jays, they have big personalities.

To Phil
I miss you.
I have been working on getting the blog to 100,000 views.  Since your birthday the views have been increasing.  When you first told me that the blog would 100,000 views, I laughed but told you that I would try.  Honey, we are very close.
Your story is being told.
I love you.

365 days of images - - Day 123 - May 2, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Walking Old Monterey

This morning I needed pay rent, a task that is usually a drive and drop the check off  kind of deal.  Today I decided to walk and check out more of Old Monterey.  Gardens, architecture, history and acquainting myself with  new territory ended up being fun.  Walking sure opens up a whole new world that I had been missing.
Phil filled my heart and soul as I walked.  Closing in on the anniversary of his death, many memories of all types dance in my head.  The love I feel for him remains as strong as ever, the pain weighs my heart down but this project keeps a purpose in front of me.
I took time to look back at a few of the days that I've been accumulating in 365 days of images. I've been so busy I rarely look back at them.  I am pleased with my progress, have self pride that I continue to press forward and  I know Phil would be pleased with my fortitude.  The blog has ended up being invaluable to my sanity.  I even braved looking at the blogs that I wrote the last couple of months, such painful but honest feelings.  I guess I'm writing and walking the pain off.
Gratitude and love fill me for all the people in my life.
One moment at a time.
I'm proud of my efforts and am happy to be recording this year.

Custom House Plaza

I loved the garden at the Cooper Molera Adobe, peaceful and filled with beautiful flowers.
"The Cooper Molera Adobe, dating from 1827, is a National Trust Historic Site in Monterey’s Old Town Historic District, a National Historic Landmark."

The Monterey Courthouse and surrounding area.

A tribute to the people lost to Covid.

A tree that was grown from a seed that went to the moon.

Wow to the mural by the Portola Hotel.

On my way home, a quick stop at the jetty, can't resist it.

For Phil
The sorrow I feel about your loss consumes me on some days.
On others your love carries me to a place of gratitude.
I'm so very happy and appreciative for the love you shared with me.
There are no words to describe our love.
I will never forget.
