It was raining this morning as I left. I decided to drive, so I could try out different locales to see if I could find a break in the precipitation. I did, at Lover's Point, rain surrounded me but I got a 30 minute window to take some images. It was high tide, the waves were big and my feet got wet. It was cold.
I took a break at home, then noticed a break in the clouds again....
I couldn't resist another look.
It even snowed up in the hills. The gull sits in front of snowcaps.
For Phil
What drifted over me today was the memory of one of the side effects that came after brain surgery. There were many horrible ones but this one was pleasant. You have always been nice, but you became sensitive to everyone, as if you could feel each person's feelings as they crossed paths with us on our walks. Never missing a hello as people passed. You made friends with everyone along the coastal trail. There seemed to be a sense that you got about others going through adversity and you connected with them. I still see some of the people you made friends with. I miss you.
