This morning was gray, the skies were cloudy and there wasn't any sunrise color. I started my walk on Cannery Row on my way to look for wildlife. I walked by the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I have been missing it, it has been closed for over a year because of the corona virus. Noelle was working at the cafe there right before the pandemic. Phil worked there in security before he had his auto repair shop. Nicole taught about plastic alternatives there. I worked as customer service in the gift and book store before Phil was diagnosed with cancer. Nicole and I also participated in a arts and crafts show around the holidays in the past. Not to mention all the family time we spent there just enjoying the beauty of the aquarium. I can't wait for things to go back to normal or the "new normal". I miss being able to go and visit, I can't wait to see what the aquarium has in store for us when it reopens.
“Cannery Row in Monterey in California is a poem, a stink, a grating noise, a quality of light, a tone, a habit, a nostalgia, a dream.”

I saw several sea otters swim by and then I spotted one eating a crab. Sea otters use a rock to break the shells open, they carry it with them. This sea otter had the prettiest rock I've seen one carry.
Looking at me upside down.
Grebes have pretty red eyes.
Hanging out under the wharf.
As I walked around the harbor the sun came out.
For Phil
I miss you!
I'm working hard with Nicole and Noelle.
Nicole is setting up a new website.
Noelle is making marvelous videos.
I am walking, healing and taking 365 days of images.
