Sometimes circumstances in life take you where you could not even imagine. Just 2 months ago, Phil and I had decided to slow our lives down in the near future and travel more in our van. We started downsizing so that we would be able to afford to travel on the weekends. We had the opportunity between old apartment and new apartment to take a dream vacation, taking the van up the coast to Eureka and back. We had adventures, fun, love and laughs. It ended abruptly in the middle of the month while we were waiting for our new apartment to be ready. A seizure, and a diagnosis we did not want to hear, surgery, moving into a new apartment, another hospitalization, my birthday, our car dies......and now another surgery, things have certainly changed.
We have decided we must sell our beloved van, we do not do it with regret however. We do it because of necessity and our life has taken a change. This van we won on eBay, to travel to visit my parents in Arkansas. At the time we purchased the van we had our very cherished dog Judy. She was getting up in years and we wanted to have her with us all the time. The three of us had a grand time in that van, we made the trip across the country, up and down the coast and just to the beach to picnic. After Judy passed we continue to travel in the van, the redwoods, San Francisco, Santa Barbara camping everywhere. We had a ball, no regrets, because we have had a wonderful time in this van. Now it is time for someone else to enjoy it. We need a car now and our finances are bust. We are in a whirl of Drs., healing, disability paperwork, trying to live and trying to survive. Life has made a complete change.
