Santa Barbara, California
On the second day of our adventure, we were determined to take in all the beauty of Santa Barbara. Since our hotel was across the street from the ocean - we began with a sunrise walk along the ocean.

Then breakfast at one of our favorite places - East Beach Grill at the Santa Barbara Bath House.
Phil had an omelet and I had the wheat germ pancakes. Wow delicious, sat by the beach - if you are in Santa Barbara, it is worth a visit.
Then we decided on a trip to the lovely Santa Barbara Zoo - it is small but beautiful!
We acted like a couple of kids, we took time to sit and watch the animals, ate lunch there and had a great time.
We took time after the zoo for a drive and a moment to stop and smell the flowers.....Santa Barbara is full of beautiful flora - I can remember coming home from LA at night, the smell of the flowers as you drove into Santa Barbara was divine.
Wrapping the day up at the Santa Barbara Harbor and breakwater. The sunset could not have been any prettier. While we were at the harbor they were unloading trucks of Urchins, it was fascinating.
Finished the evening with dinner on the wharf at Longboards, http://longboardsgrillsb.com/.
Yes indeed it was a perfect day - I hope you enjoyed the photos and I hope one day you get to visit Santa Barbara - it's a beautiful treasure. I have so many lovely memories of Santa Barbara, my daughters grew up there, I met Phil and I ran two businesses there.
Santa Barbara Bliss!!
Love it!
