Alice, Mascot for Gypsea - Re purposed mannequin, she went from the back of an Antique shop to traveling all over Monterey Bay

Alice

Alice and I came together a few years ago.  I acquired her in a antique store that was going out of business.  She was very dusty, bald and was wearing some sort of monk's garb.  I cleaned her up, freshened her make-up, gave her a mystical decoupage and yarn hair.  3 month later - she was working at our booth at the West End Celebration.  My husband and I have popped Alice into the van and taken her all over the Monterey Bay area.

Alice's transformation

This how Alice gets around.  Phil power.

Alice at the West End Celebration in Sand City.

Alice travels in a Chevy van camper.  Lots of fun by the beach in that wonderful van.

The first place we took her was the beach.  We did a beach photo shoot.  It was fun, we experienced for our first time how people looked at us, as I took photos of Alice.
