This morning I let the inner child come out to play and enjoyed the holiday decorations at the Wharf.
It was joyful and needed.

Inside the Portola Hotel.

For Phil
Our first Christmas after your diagnosis was the last Christmas we would spend  together as a family.
I know how you felt about the help Nicole and Darin provided us at the beginning of the journey.  Nicole picked me up, dusted me off and carried me through the shock of the diagnosis of cancer.  She and Darin took us in and helped us get adjusted into our apartment.  Nicole fund raised, Darin helped me pack up "Phil's Auto Repair".  I know how you felt, and I continue to pass the message of thanks for you.  We lost Darin soon after, I hope you and he are fishing with Dad.  I miss you all of you.
Miss you!
Nicole -  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I love you.

365 days of images - - Day 262- Sept. 18, 2021 - Linda's Intuitive Images LMH -- Wildlife of Monterey Bay - Otters, Seals and Peeks of Blue Sky

On day 262, I started early, it was still dark when I left home.

Through Cannery Row.

I'm always looking for wildlife on my walk.  Spending my time watching animals is my favorite way to pass the time away.

A blue heron.

Harbor Seals
They have been all over the rocks along the shoreline.
Shy, quiet and tired as I walk by.

A harbor seal mohawk.

Sea Lions

A quick trip out on Fisherman's Wharf

A streak of blue sky.

Pelican in flight.

A very cute sea otter eating breakfast.

For Phil
Each day as I walk, I look at the ocean through your eyes.
I remember how you would stare at the ocean, so calm just taking it all in.
I miss those times.  I'm turned to the inside, need quiet and am just enjoying the time around the bay..
Struggling with the thought of my dad not being around.  63 years - he was always there for me.
I sure miss you Phil.
