I started the morning at the Coast Guard jetty but there wasn't very much going on. It rained last night, it was cloudy, grey and very quiet. I decided to head toward Asilomar beach to check out the migrating birds. Wow! The birds were active and the air was cold. The wind was coming off the ocean, brrrrrr, it was a quick walk on the beach.

What a whacky world! Covid is still around, politics remain crazy and the energy seems off.
As I hit Asilomar Beach, before the sun came up, I could hear barking and howling. I looked down the beach and I could see dogs playing on the water's edge. They didn't seem to be barking and what I was hearing sounded pretty ferocious. I kept walking and noticed it was coming from the dunes. I looked up and there were several coyote above me on the dunes. They were barking and howling, watching the dogs that were playing on the beach. It sounded threatening. When the dogs left the beach, the coyote headed back into the dunes. The lighting was poor but the scene was amazing.
Birds
Pretty waves.

My heart and mind have been wrapped around memories of you. Today I find such a bittersweet reaction to them. One of my favorite parts of our life together was hearing you laugh. Tonight while watching a Disney Christmas special....my mind went back to our times at Disneyland and World. We laughed and laughed, I was ridiculous in what I would do to get a laugh. Light up ice cubes in my bra??? Everyone had light up jewelry, you must admit it had a nice affect through the shirt and I believe the family had a nice laugh about it. France in Epcot, dueling pianos, sing along's and Fort Wilderness.... What fun we had.
I started my morning at Asilomar Beach. Cloudy, windy and brisk made for a quick pace as I walked.
Birds and a couple of surfers were my company.
I'm fascinated by the reentry into the ocean.
Through Pacific Grove.
A stop at Lover's Point brought cute squirrels and a young gull diving after a purple urchin. The gull would drop the urchin and dive again after it. There seemed to be a learning curve going on, I enjoyed watching the attempts into the clear water.
