I got up and took a quick walk to check out the sunrise. It wasn't as colorful as it has been the last couple of days. The weather was a little cooler and it felt like fall today. I was in a hurry because Noelle (my daughter) and I had plans to head up the coast, and we wanted to get an early start.
We headed out on a mission of getting a couple of pumpkins to carve for Halloween. We stopped and had a great time at Rodini Farms and found a couple of choice pumpkins for ourselves.
Next we stopped at Ouroboros Aquaponics Farm in a group of wonderful green houses in Half Moon Bay, beauty and fun! Phil and I had stopped there before as he went through treatments, they were kind on that visit and today it was equally as pleasing. Noelle and I left with produce that ended up being a delicious dinner.
Then Highway 92 Succulents.
Great looking plants, we brought a new plant for the garden.
How cool is Carnivorous Plants?
A little piece of Lavender heaven.
Exquisite beauty of an orchid.
Views of the ocean, Pigeon Point Lighthouse, fish and chips, ice cream and kite surfing.
Whew! What a day!
To be carved at a later date.
For Phil
Noelle and I took a road trip today. We drove and reminisced about our past trips up the coast to Half
Moon Bay. Visiting some of our favorite spots made me feel closer to you. Our anniversary is coming, we got together Oct 27, 1997 and married on Oct 27, 2005. October has always been one of my favorite times of year, we had a lot of joy, each and everyone, of the 22 Octobers that we were together.
Picnics and lighthouses.
Fish, chips and beer.
Ice cream in Capitola, he was always up for that.
