All along the coastline around the Monterey Bay you will find ground squirrels.
Many people feed them so they get where they are aggressive looking for food.
When they see a camera, they instantly think handout.... I have a method of looking them in the eye and plead for them to quit chasing me. Ha!
I have seen them bite a couple of people, I have a respect.
They have a high pitched squeal that they make as a warning. It resembles a bird call.
I love watching them play, gather nesting materials and eat and eat and eat.
I caught this one eating the memorial flowers.
The next time I passed the bench....squirrels were eating everything.
Gray morning, gray mood, walked 6 miles....
One foot in front of the other.

The first time I have been out to dinner with friends in a very long time. Covid has been a drag!
Bob and Bonnie, I enjoyed the company, loved my dinner and want you to know I love you both.
