Sitting on a rocky edge, that leads to stepping stones that are taking me to what comes next. Change is difficult but necessary.
The morning started with an inquisitive scrub jay.
Onto the coastal trail heading toward Lover's Point in Pacific Grove.
For the last couple of weeks, the harbor seals have been all over the rocks. They are hard to spot because they blend in to the environment. I think they are photogenic, they seem to be smiling.
What stood out today - juvenile sea gulls bitching for food. It seemed the parental types were trying to push them out onto their own. They squawked, nagged and begged for food.
