First the beach, I watched the waves, felt the power and enjoyed the spray on my face.
The whale is still breaking down on Asilomar. It has been there since the end of June. The birds were working on it today, I have seen coyote eating in the past.
A turkey vulture had it's eye on the decaying whale as well.
Sharpening it's beak on a rock.
I weaved back through the neighborhoods to get home.
I'm still just moving through life one moment and one flower at a time.
Oh Phil would have loved this truck, what a beauty!
I know if Phil could give a message, he would want his fellow firefighters to make sure they are using all their safety protocol. His brain cancer is suspected to be a result of his time being a firefighter. Phil was a firefighter for Fayetteville, Arkansas, Eureka Springs Fire Dept and 188th Wing in the Air National Guard in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The whole time I was afraid for him as he fought fires, what got him was a silent foe in brain cancer. I asked him if he had regrets being a firefighter, he replied, "no, that it was his dream and he loved his job and the people that he worked with".
For Phil
Love and miss you.
