Off to Moss Landing this morning. Looking for wildlife and light. I found wildlife but the sun didn't come out during my walk. The marine layer is typical during the summer, we have winter, summers here. The end of summer and into October it will be sunnier. The fog challenges me, I hope all this practice helps me improve at the image taking.
Bunnies were all over the place by the Old Salinas River.
I've got a lot on my mind, I talked to friends today, it helped me process and plan a direction. I have to admit my thinking can be muddled lately. I'm missing Phil, because I would talk to him about everything. He grounded me, I can be all over the place, I have to admit I can be hard to rein in. I've been struggling finding my flow, making decisions and I've been in a cycle of worry. "Car stuff, vaccination fears and worry about my parents has been whirling about in me. I will now start a step by step process to get to where I need to go. Admitting limitations, learning to overcome fear and just praying and moving forward. Thanks to the friends who listened, extended advice and shared stories.
Hollyhocks have been having a good year.
Bird watching was good this morning!
Great egrets, snowy egrets, white pelicans and blue herons shared space at the Old Salinas River. Reflections caught my eye and so did the boats in the harbor.
For Phil
Missing you.
Remembering all times you asked where I wanted to go. When I said Moss Landing, you would laugh, because I always wanted to go there. Nothing like the times we spent watching otters, eating "Phil's Fish Market" and walking on the beach.
