Happy light energy filled me as I hiked Big Sur this morning. I caught sunrise, stopped to admire cows, Bixby bridge and then to Big Sur Pfeiffer State Park.
What struck me is, before Phil and I began our love story, I was quite afraid hiking in the woods. When I was in high school, I had a friend that had been abducted and murdered near a wooded area. His name was J.T., we had worked at McDonalds together. His death shook me to my core and instilled a fear within me. Camping and hiking with Phil, I learned to release that fear. Instead of fear, it is an opposite feeling that I have. I feel and take in the energy from the trees and experience peace within.
In fact many fears that I have had in the past don't exist anymore. I'm filled with desire to live life and to enjoy the beauty around me.
I explored and hiked the Big Sur River first.
I spotted a sign for Buzzard Roost Trail and headed on up!
One of Phil and my favorite spots was Big Sur River Inn. I stopped, sat and let the river flow under me.
Then a picnic breakfast that was served in a cooler. I sat outside, overlooking the river and enjoyed myself immensely. What fun!
For Phil
Filled with the beautiful memories we have made.
I love and miss you.
