Putting our roots into the soils of positivity at Earthbound Farm

After working our way through a cycle of emotions and getting rest, we are back to taking staycation adventures.  I continue to try to make exercise seem fun for Phil, while seeing something new, close to home.  Phil has lost the use of his left arm but we are working with physical therapy to help with that.  His legs are weak and he is tired.  Today a handful of hair fell out.  Radiation has been hard on him, we are hoping that it will help stop the growth of cancer.   A break from challenges, we head toward the country.

We have been wanting to check out Earthbound Farm so we were off, heading in the direction of Carmel Valley.  It was foggy and cold near home but just a few miles inland can make all the difference.  It was sunny and warm at the farm and was a perfect spot to exercise and enjoy nature around us.

Our first sight as we pulled into the parking lot was a bee keeping class.  .  I loved the "costuming" and had to take a quick photo.

Pleasantly surprised at the beauty that surrounded us on the way onto the property.

A  small cafe and market with healthy, appealing foods, just our cup of tea.  A great area for picnics.  Lots of gardens, areas for play and we had a great time walking around the property.  Best thing I noticed was a sign that said fresh pies on Wed.  We will be taking a trip back on a Wednesday for another visit as spring develops and the flowers start to bloom, and we are getting pie!

Treasuring each moment, enjoying each hug and living life to the fullest.

Thank you to each of you that has sent a card, offered help or a prayer.  We appreciate you and you are making our journey a little easier.
