Purple Penelope the PT Cruiser takes a trip to Pescadero

When I started this blog it was to show and tell about our travels in our van. Well life changed that, we had to sell our van, and most of all our other possessions just over a year ago, with the diagnosis of cancer.  Instead, I ended up telling the story of another journey, our journey with Phil's brain cancer.  Well! we are on the road again.  With much joy, we headed out in Penelope, our purple PT Cruiser, on a road trip. Today we traveled as far as we have been, Pescadero, California.  It's not that far, a little over an hours drive if you drive straight through. But it was the furthest we have been in over a year.  What a day - Phil got up this morning made breakfast, lunch and dinner before we left the house. He has been trying to keep up with the cooking and cleaning as I keep up with my work. We are making a new life, a new system, a team....a team of healing energy.   We both are now involved with the dog sitting and the tasks are now divided and the love flows everywhere.  On the days that Phil feels good, we celebrate and take advantage of every moment.  We've been having some beautiful days.  The donation that enabled us to get this car was more than a blessing.  Thank you very much our fairy godmothers, your gift gave us wings.

Life is becoming more normal with each passing day.  I love seeing him up, doing what he loves and living life.  Living freaking life. - Grateful!

Had to get Penelope clean to go on the drive, a couple of birds had the nerve......
But to see Phil washing the car - beautiful!

Phil packed a lunch, we ended up eating  at the Santa Cruz Harbor.
Nice view, perfect weather and yummy sandwich, made with love.  Sandwiches always taste better near sand.

We stopped at one of our favorite places, Pigeon Point Lighthouse.  In the past  it was an in between stop, for stretching legs, taking photos and enjoying the lighthouse.  This time we stopped and tried our hand at selfies.  Every since the surgeries, Phil's hand trembles, so he can't hold the camera to take our photo.  The CBD's that he uses to help kill the cancer seems to be helping with the tremors and he was able to take our photo today.  It was hard, we laughed our asses off, and we got some very joyful photos.

Pescadero - Fun, quaint and a huge milestone for us!  We walked around, did some people watching and window shopping.  Simple and fun.  They have good signs in Pescadero, plus charm, lots of charm.

Whew what a day.  Thank you again for your support.
and we were on our way home again.........We are tired and can't wait until the next adventure.  For over a year we waited and yearned for days like today.

YAHOOOOOOOO Adventure!!!
